I learned my ABC when I was two and read my first book when she was four. Is it above average or average?
I learned my ABC when I had two years and understand their three years of age. I read The Cat in the hat completely on my own four years and he understood. Leo the Great Illustrated Classics version of Adventures of Tom Sawyer when I was five years. Would you say that is higher than the mean? I'm doing a test in reading my autobiography and I need to know.
I could read at 3 .. Although it was not so great with the alphabet .. (I'm dyslexic, and learned to read with speed reading techniques nobody really knows where I learned) .. but it's pretty .. Rare So I would say more .. average reading serious about my nephew when he was 5 years .. but not the past be read in high school reading level in a year .. It's just different for everyone … I have not read aloud well, never did .. but I was reading Stephen King in third grade and knew .. All he would say to add (if not already there) is to understand .. You can read four hours, and understands that .. but do you really know what was happening? .. Can you see in your head? .. If you have been asked about that 10 minutes later can not remember the story? .. Thus things that can give more depth to it. Good luck!
