Stop Motion Animation: Nine Creative and easy techniques

To draw a stop motion animation but do not know what to do this helps. Often people think they have to spend endless hours drawing the same figures and more with only a slight difference between each picture. And this is true there are many creative techniques you can use to draw fun and interesting animations without the endless repetition. This article shows you nine techniques.

You can do these techniques with very few tools. Outside of what is required for any stop-motion animation, like a camera software, a computer and free, you will be able do these things with paper, pencil and an eraser or my preferred method of a Board Dry Erase Board. I prefer the dry erase board, because it is easy throwing things out clearly on the march.

1 – The text and the words

The point of the animation is to communicate a message or a story and the text is an excellent tool to do so. You can enter words and phrases directly into your workspace. And you can do in an animation style by adding letters or words in a at a time.

2 – Drawing a background

This is often overlooked in the film, but a good background or even a simple background adds a depth level the story you tell. Can be encouraged or just leave it alone, without any movement at all.

3 – simple movement

This is the technique to draw an object on the workspace, take an image and then erase and redraw a new location. This movement simulates the movement object and is very efficient and easy to do. It can be as simple as water droplets moving at the work surface or a ball bouncing on the screen.

Growth 4 -: add lines and characteristics

Think of it as something more before your eyes. Trees and plants make good subjects for this. You draw a line, make a photo, the extension of the line, take another picture, so that overall growth is achieved. You can also reverse this technique and have objects that shrink in size. Borras and take pictures in small increments.

5 – Anthropomorphism: taking the form of man to express things

You can draw simple shapes human that are very expressive. They need not be complex or even simple stick figures will do. But they will give a very wide range of expression a shock to the emotion, happiness and welfare of all human emotions.

6 – change the speed of what is happening

It is an important tool. You must remember that things do not occur all at the same speed if you have to change their plans accordingly. Characters can run or walk, and items can move slow or fast. A flower grows slowly and a rock falls from the sky quickly. Space your drawings to reflect these differences in speed.

7 – change the angle of the camera pan or zoom

You can move or zoom in the animation without moving the camera or work area. It is a carefully make your video more interesting and attractive. To bring an object that measures only using more and more, and while doing this, you also get the center of your workspace. If you have drawn fund can move left or right to simulate panning.

Often, when development an animation, it is easy to fix on a central character, but if you want to make the animation more interesting you should remember one thing that can move at any given time, even if only because the wind blows.

9 – Storytelling

This technique is the most important and you should give a lot of thought. It is the hinge on which the animation is all. That's why what happens in the animation and gives the viewer a reason to continue watching. If the viewer sees a story that unfolds, it is more likely to stick to the video to see how it is.

Stop motion animation is a wonderful creative exercise that does not need large amount of equipment and tools for making great entertainment. And there is no need to shoot hundreds of photos that are a repetition with minor modifications. With a little creativity can make another kind that are easy and fun.
