Action toys in two cultures

Coming from a small non-American action toys are new for me. Back at home in my childhood we had quite different toys – including action toys. Most of the toys were based on a cartoon or the imagination of an artist in the doll factory. There was rustling stuffed animals, tanks, unmanned vehicles and lunar (Lunohod-1 was one), there were dolls with facial expressions rarely can be closed and eyes open and small puppets could do nothing, but have been a good material for the model.

We really do not much action more toys selection. There were tons of other things, but the specific action toys – as figures of Halo, aliens or even hockey players – No one really thought it would be a good idea to produce. Of course, there was Halo, Gears of War, or even an action of a single figure or hockey football player. And forget about Elvis, this guy has been banned, while he was still alive.

Therefore, what children are not toys made themselves. There was a case near my school with all kinds of cuts of your son and the pieces scattered. We got the son and the son of armor figures we see fit. We had built armies of swordsmen, squads of gunmen on horseback, the platoons of riflemen, machine guns and sub machine guns. Battle raging in our territory only rival those of ancient China and its cotta army. The best part of all this (at least our parents as valuable as) the whole enterprise was completely free. There was however, an incentive, as all soldiers are dead (or rather materials that have been made) is divided by the winner and loser of the battle. Known as booty of war.

These days, of course, are not the days of military conscription tin. Toys action, to paraphrase a slogan popular, are not numerous, are proud and very expensive – at least to buy in similar quantities.
