What is the meaning of Badtz Maru bad?
Hi everybody knows it's Badtz Maru Sanrio bad? Im wondering why a name like Sanrio. Was there a meaning behind it?
It is one of the few characters of Sanrio which is marketed for both men and women. In Japanese, "Badtz" (Batsu) is a term for "X", the cross signifying a wrong response. "Maru" means circle or "O" means a response correct. Therefore, his name means figuratively "" bad-good, and is often represented by the XO. "Badtz-Maru has many different facial expressions and postures, but a common expression is to look down and pulling the tongue, a gesture equivalent of blowing a raspberry.
