fine sand that I found on the ground for a leopard gecko?

Ok I am a leopard gecko and I and my Cuzin went outside and I saw a little sand white at the bottom I have 6 bags of it that you should use or buy stores how, or I can clean the sand ?????

I never really think something with the outside world for any type of substrate, because of the opportunities that are pest mites, and chemicals in the air that has settled on the substrate. I would suggest you use an ultra fine sand of calcium in the pet store, it is the only substrate not harmful care, never lead to compaction. Make sure your use of sand as a substrate to feed your gecko in a separate container if the diet of crickets, because they can not strike a mouthful of sand. If you want to use the sand absoultly … the only way I would never think of using it, are boiled in water for some time .. even then not solve the problem of chemicals.
