Is there a meaning to the marina and the Red and Black star tattoos?
I have some friends who are in the body with a tattoo on the back of each arms or elbows, a red star with a black outline, and a star of black with a red border. I wondered if there was a certain importance in these tattoos? I have not been able to get Ahold to ask .. I'm in college and are deployed or at home, and I have no way of contacting them. I just happened to see a man on the street in early of tattoos himself, and made me think about them. They are not sailors. They are only single stars. Not trying to sound rude, but I know the difference between the two. I spent my HS in a tattoo shop lol. Ok, so I saw the guy above, I passed on the street, and asked him, and said it made no sense to him, was only 18 years and thought it looked cool when they were lol. So idk, maybe one thing, no real importance …
Because of the tattoos found on the elbows and / or on opposite sides of the body, I'd say it's probably some kind of take or twist on a nautical star. The opposite sides of the mark to port and starboard. It is a star and if the contrast is other stars in color, which again makes me believe that I think are maybe just a derivation of a nautical star. I bet I'm ready it is only a personal service, and a model has been selected or created by them as something they like. Design and the idea of two stars of contrasting color on opposite sides the body comes from the nautical star and became very popular as salty dog, punk and hard rock, more recently, Jerry marine style, but it is popular other areas. It fits well with many others tattoo styles and can even be used to mix old with new styles. As far as I know, and we have seen with the Marines I know there is no sense in this style Marine Corp or star as a tattoo. This is that although Corp. in its entirety goes. Specific units locations, etc could have their membership of the curious concept. Work, training, fighting and getting a tattoo on the side of Marines, I've never heard of a connection type. This is just my experience though. Of course, the only way to know for sure is to ask every time you are able to see them again. I hope at least could develop an idea or an idea.
