What a good book or a DVD for teaching me kickboxing or martial arts?

What a good book or DVD I teach kickboxing (or arts style martial)? Unfortunately, no funds or time to join a gym. Usually, I would fight against the way (without being a fighter). Also enough to want to learn self-defense purposes.

The martial arts has to do with time passing, so if you want to take shortcuts, you will feel disappointed at the end. I believe that books and DVDs are additions to regular training. Without a teacher and partners to the mast / Point of your faults, your fighting skills do not grow as it should. In my own experience, motivation can sometimes come and go so it's nice to have someone around to motivate you do not feel up to it. If fitness is your goal, is likely to do the diet and exercise and is one thing you can google it is best to consult a fitness professional.
