Do you really need the external evaluations of your manuscript?
You noodle his concept of books, created a plan to make your ideas flow, and filled in your business plan with details. You've accomplished a lot. Pat yourself on the back and the Snoopy dance dance! But do not rest on their laurels. You will not be ready to start your project until I left to others with a broader objective to give approval.
Set aside his magnum opus for a few days and rest. Then give the manuscript an eye more critical. Are you sure you said what you want to say? Once you're satisfied, you are ready for the next crucial step in their manuscript the best that can be examined by peers.
A necessary "evil"?
A peer review is to send your manuscript colleagues, other experts in their field or genre, and readers of its target audience of your comments. Like those who have gone through the process of knowing, a review peer can be frustrating and annoying. The role of the review is to help you "see" what you wrote, and you can get the feedback they do not want to hear. But Garner valuable information to make their product better.
The evaluators note what works in the text or history and what is not. You can nitpick about of the bad things and take you along a straight road, offering suggestions that do not advance their ideas. However, the reactions of commentators is essential because they provide a variety outlook for the book, as their buyers. Be prepared for ideas that might be so far away that you would like to take your manuscript and say "never mind." But also be ready for enthusiasts and suggestions.
Keep track reviewers
Ensure that the reviewers' comments are valuable, rather than entertainment, to guide the process as possible. How? Here are some suggestions:
• Be specific about what you find reviewers.
• Ask if the content seems complete or have forgotten something important.
• Ask to forgive mistakes, punctuation problems, etc. that these issues are addressed in the editing process. You want to focus on content.
Be thankful for valuable information
Resist the temptation to skip the peer review. examiners' questions often reveal patches of mud that need clarification. Thank them! It's easy get your nose too much pressure on the computer screen to see the whole picture. Peers can see where you need to develop your message or you have not used the words correctly. These problems, you can fix with a little more and a good word or language reference. But that is not Nitty Editorial commentators granular seed or you may receive a confusing patchwork of views. Better to let your editor to ensure consistency and accuracy when it comes to details. Can not wait for his teammates.
When you start this process of review, we will see that people appreciate being asked. Also, you have ambassadors there when the book finally launches.
