how do i replace my detached door mirror?

The mirror part of my manual door-mirror has been knocked out of its casing. The mirror itself is intact with its attachments, as far as I can see, and the mechanism is working OK. Can I just push it back in place? I have tried without success. (Ford Focus LX 2004)

if all of the attachments are intact then it should just snap back into its casing, if it wont snap in double check to make sure the back of the mirror is not missing any pieces of the plastic that would grab when ya snap it in. or try to take it to a service station and see if they can snap it in for you, they would be able to tell if its broken or not.
