does putting a wet cell phone in a bag of rice really help it get dry?
no contrary to popular belief the rice in a salt shaker is actually there to stop the rice from sticking together in chunks and help it separate not suck out the moisture. If you set you phone in rice it will do nothing.
If your phone gets wet there are a few options though
1. You can actually set it in unpopped popcorn kernals… funky but it works. Heard it from my uber smart tech teacher and a kid in the class tried it and it worked. Popcorn kernals suck up moisture around them.
2. You can use a blowdryer on it like the post above me says. THe hot air blows the moisture out into air and your cell phone has a chance of recovery.
3. Set it on a heater it has the same effect as a blow dryer just you dont have to hold it.
Rice doesnt work.
