my computer mouse is making a weird sound?

since i have a mouse with the red light on the bottom of it i don’t use a mouse pad, (my brother told me i did not need a mouse pad) and when i move the mouse on the desk,it makes a scratchy sound,why is this happening?

Sounds like the bottom of your mouse is a little scratched
up. If it still works then don’t worry about it. You can use a
mouse pad with this kind of mouse. I use a pad with my mind.
