How do I get a saucer full of water into a cup without spilling?
I don’t know how to get a saucer full of water into a cup without spilling. I was also told that I had a lemon and 2 matches do assist me in this. What can I do?
I suppose that the lemon is to be used as a platform for the matches, I’d leave it out of the trick, but if you have to use it – light them and stick them in the lemon (heads up) with the lemon on the saucer, put the cup on top of it all. The matches will heat the air in the cup. When the air cools it’ll draw a vacuum and the water will be sucked up into the glass. When this happens, flip the whole thing over and the water will be in the glass without spilling.
Alternately, use the lemon as a funnel.
