What is the name of the religious group in which Jewish men wear long curly sideburns?
I know that some Jewish sects (sorry if I expression on the right) there are men who have long curly sideburns (sorry if I'm in the expression on the right). What are called, and what to wear their hair this way?
In general, these Hasidic Jews, at least in the U.S., there are other sects who observe and practice. The curls are called "Peyos." The hair is this way in obedience to a "negative" commandment that says a man should not "round" the corners of head, or the corners of your beard. The reference is found in Leviticus 19:27.
