Do you consider me unusual?
I have a rather good memory, I can remember back to the age of one and can remember poems like Alone by Edgar Allen Poe, etc. in usually 20 to 30 minutes. I’m an A/B student yet I can solve puzzles faster than my classmates. So, is this unusual for a 14 year old? I’m not into fashion, teen magazines, etc. I love anime (Yu-Gi-Oh!) and the paranormal. I’m too childish, which I don’t mind. I love to play with dolls and stuffed toys!
But I’m too un-social. I know I’m unusual, and I’m fine with that, but I’m wondering what others think. And no, I won’t over-react! I’m not that quiet though, I talk a lot when I’m with my mom. I don’t seem to look at people in the eye.
Anonymous000: Anti-social is a rather misused word since most people use it for being un-social (yes, I know its un-gramatically correct but using un instead of not is a habit of mine). Doctors classify anti-social as this:

Maybe you’re just shy. Everyone is into different things; that doesn’t make you weird. Maybe you are a little bit childish playing with stuffed animals but you aren’t the only one in the world at 14 who does that. Don’t care about what people think as long as you are a nice person and not a jerk. It’s not like you’re mean to people so they probably don’t say stuff about you. If they do, that’s their problem. You said you’re a good student; that is more important in the long run. Anyone “popular” will only be popular until they finish high school. You will be smart for the rest of your life.
The point is, you do things you love, though it may be a little bit childish. You still talk to your mom and you are a nice, smart person. Be happy with who you are; you aren’t unusual.
