Many fans believe that Paula Abdul of American Idol would not be the same without him and some people threaten to stop watching the show. His successor, the popular host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, host of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" could have a big shoes to fill. However, as one of the funniest entertainers in the U.S., there are fans who believe in American Idol and his quick wit and entertainment experience wide could bring new life to the show.

According to Randy Jackson in an interview with MTV, Ellen DeGeneres and passion for music as a big fan of American Idol judge makes an ideal. He said: "It will give the laity to see home. … It will give the viewer at home to be a real voice on the panel of judges."
