How to Market Your Film Online

I just finished my latest film "War is a bitch." The film tells the story of nine Women brave soldiers deployed as part of a secret mission to assassinate a political leader. I think this is the first film of its kind policy war from the perspective of a woman. Although it was a great success, I understand that the battle was far from over for me.

The film's title, "The war is a bitch, "expresses the truth of this film is like. When you view has gone well, I felt that every step was like a war. After finishing, I was surprised to see how much work lies ahead of me. I'm not just talking about post-production. What many filmmakers do not realize is that the new digital age, including YouTube, anyone can make a movie. So when a filmmaker says he does little to impress. What separated from all others how marketing is qualified of the film. This will be a factor in its success. Course a good movie with a unique theme, it does not hurt.

But if you have a great movie, marketing is the key. In my films, I started online, the creation of Twitter, Facebook and MySpace, a blog and a website. I wanted to generate as online exposure as possible, but I did not create sites that have been static. That's where I think most filmmakers miss the train. The objective should not simply be create these online experiences, but rather start the spectators and let your office, get them involved. Want to create a buzz ecological, which has the legs of your account. Some people refer to as the viral marketing: Hollywood called "buzz." What you call, you can talk to generate the best.

I would advise to hire a professional web designer to create your pages for you. Make them interesting and stimulating. In fact, to make sure my pages were on the line I started my own business of web marketing for film, RKA Web Creations, Inc., create and ensure that sites awesome for my films, and for other filmmakers. But remember, it is very important to regularly update their sites. content generation a significant year in which we could spend hours talking. People hate again to find a site that has been stagnant or obsolete equipment. One way to solve this problem, given my busy schedule, was to create an online game based on my film. A portion This site has an aspect of social networks where users can create accounts and profiles a bit like Facebook. Do not want the typical site with a trailer and cast and crew information, because I found that user-generated content is the best way to take those on the go.

Before, when you finish your work the film was finished. You may finish your party and celebrate. Things are different today, which requires managers to take a more active role in their productions from beginning to end. Do not get me wrong, it's a lot of work. But the rewards are more than worth it. When I receive emails or view statistics of my sites, I know people talk and are happy, I'm creating a "buzz." And, more importantly, will build your exposure and get your name out there as director of cinema.

Yes, we are in a new era of 2.0, which offers much more work and more opportunities than ever before. For this reason, Hollywood will bow the next big director and just may be multifaceted. And do not come alone, but with a mass of online viewers loyal following. How does this affect the direction of the industry is an enigma. But security will be very interesting.
