Do you think text messaging is to blame?

For the bad spelling and grammar that often accompanies the questions here? I'm not normally a spelling or grammar Nazi, but here lately I've noticed a lot of questions (the most common of adolescents) are written in the same way that the text of many young people. I know, I know … at least not l33t speak, but is almost as bad. Young people do not really know how to write?
