Sheffield Travel Guide
Sheffield importance as a steelmaking center in the United Kingdom has declined dramatically during the past decades to the 80s, but the city has been rejuvenated and is currently fourth in the country, with a joyful and creative industry affectionately dubbed "the largest village in the country.
The center is divided into four sections: Cultural Quarter, the financial district, business district and the District of Devonshire. History
A market town has existed in the Sheffield area since the ninth century. During the next seven centuries, the evolution of the area pioneered the Sheffield steel industry and became known as the center of the UK production steel.
The collapse of the British mining and manufacturing has had a devastating effect on the city, but the region has recovered well and was City officially appointed national sport.
Weston Park Museum has exhibits and displays documenting the long and important history of Sheffield and is in the way to Sheffield Hospital for Children. Galleries
There are two art galleries in downtown Sheffield: Graves Art Gallery and Gallery Goals.

Theaters
Sheffield Theatres is the largest complex of its kind outside capital, and includes three different scenarios: the crucible, and the Theatre School Studio.
The crucible is the leading producer of theater in the complex, and host of the World Snooker Championship. The room is large and can accommodate a little less a thousand people, and phases of an impressive variety theater, musicals and amateur dramatics.
