Celtic music – the tin whistle

The tin whistle (sometimes called Pennywhistle) is a simple and cheap. It is simply a metal tube fingerholes six and a tip (a bit like a recorder) has a range of about two octaves. Costs vary from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars – although some of the best players play only cheaper brands.

The tin whistle is a simple – and easy to play, and easy to play melodies easy. But – is not easy to master! The instrument can be cheap, but you have to pay for the control … In doing so! The whistle haunting melodies from the film "Titanic" illustrates the soul buried in the instrument.

This instrument is commonly made of metal (usually brass) with a whistle shaped mouth. When playing outside (no no cover none of the six digital holes), then fingerhole on each turn, you can play seven notes in a diatonic harmonica (a simple scale of Do-Re-Mi – Essentially the white keys of a piano) scale. Blow a little harder and you play the same note but an octave higher. Although it is a diatonic instrument, you can get sharps and flats covering digital half-holes.

Since there are essentially two open notes – one note, the note an octave higher when blow hard – each tin whistle is supposed to represent a certain armor. For example, if the open note makes a "D" after the whistle is considered the key of D. Many players use a small set of whistles in the keys most often used.

Some people do not realize that they really can give a whistle! This is done by dragging the whistle metal barrel inside and outside the spokesman of the head. Some whistles head strong glue gun. Key signatures are commonly found in Celtic music are "D Major and G Major. By default, all grains are in a major key (since they have a diatonic scale). However, if you start your account with all holes covered digital (instead of typing all holes open), then starts another stage in a diatonic scale – resulting in a minor key! For example, a whistle in "D" can play in E minor, if you start your level, covering all fingering holes. Interestingly, the sequence arrangements "E Minor" and "D Major" is commonly found in Celtic music. (This is the sequence chords same as that used in "What would you do with a drunken sailor.") A whistle "G major" could easily play a minor (G minor and is another sequence in agreement).
