Help identify this early 90′s anime. PLZ!!!?

I caught a glimpse of this anime in the early 90′s, came on around the same time as sailor moon. the scene i remember this girl (brunette maybe?) is locked in a room in a house and theres this cat that goes through a hidden tunnel in the wall to spy on the people holding her captive. I think the girl crawls through the tunnel too. not very helpful i know but thats all i remember and its driving me crazy. plz help!!
