Hollywood Film Anime Roundup

With the new year and the growing popularity of movies based on comics, I thought I would make a round of Hollywood movies based on anime and the state of them. In my opinion, until now, we have seen nothing but disastrous results. Speed Racer there were too many bright colors and it reminded me of playing as a child CandyLand any reason, and Dragonball: Evolution is one of the worst movies I've seen period.

Then there was Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In fact, I liked it, as I did not expect poetry of a Transformers movie, but again, could have been much better, I hated the most was the daughter Decepticons College .. Anyway, below are the titles that I know are based on the manga and anime or some form of development.

Cowboy Bebop: Fox is moving ahead with Cowboy Bebop is set for a 2011 release date. Keanu Reeves is rumored to star with Erwin Stoff producing. Hopefully Fox will not turn it into a train wreck, as made with DBE.

Akira: scribes Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, who has worked at Ironman working on the script and have completed a few sips, but recently, contributing writer Gary Whitta, said they have not worked for a year. If Warner Bros. who loves to come into production next year. Its not known if Leonardo DiCaprio is still attached to produce. Whitta also said the film will continue the six volumes of the manga by Katsuhiro Otomo, unlike the famous 1988 animated film that really focused on the first 2.

Ninja Scroll: The IMDB has this set for a release date 2011 and says that Leonardo DiCaprio is production. DiCaprio said he would be interested in using the members of SMAP Masahiro Nakai, Takuya Kimura, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Goro Inagaki and Shingo Katorito stars, but not act on Akira or himself. To which I say, no, a bad choice, maybe someone in Hollywood is, as Leo, a big fan of anime, said had no intention of using another person as the Japanese Ninja Scroll or Akira.

Macross: Known as Robotech in the U.S. – I have not heard anything about it, other than Tobey Maguire is passionate enough decisions, and star of this film, but Spider-Man 4-6 pike does not seem have the opportunity to face another potential franchise. Thinking about this film, incidentally, believes that this fact in mind the Jamie Foxx film tealth S, which was a blatant scam Macross Plus if I've never seen one ..

Battle Angel Alita: James Cameron has been talking about making this film it seems 10 years. He told MTV News that avatar (which was a box office success despite mixed reviews.) A field test to see if a Battle Angel Alita, even could be done with today's technology. Although I have not seen, I think, and what I hear, is not visually stunning. Cameron plans to do Battle Angel Alita a trilogy if the first is a success and make it follow the manga closely. Sounds good, but Cameron also announced two more sequels Avatar. This may push Battle Angel Alita for a few years at least.

Tekken: Not really an anime film based, but it was anime and manga incarnations I decided to add, but I must say, from what I hear, this movie is terrible. Complete with actors and actresses that you never thought to associate with the characters that are based actually an administrator (Dwight H. Little) whose credits include jewelry Anacondas 2: The search for the blood orchid and Free Willy 2: The Next Adventure, history and inconsistent – Tekken promises to be one of the worst movies of 2010.

Ghost in the Shell: In 2008, DreamWorks, which has also made the U.S. version of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence acquired the rights to produce an action film adaptation of Masamune Shirow's original manga, live with Steven Spielberg directing. Avi Arad and Steven Paul are producing confirmed; Shutter Leta Kalogridis Island clerk is writing a script. The live-action film is ready to be published 2011.

Voltron: Dark Knight producer Charles Roven and Atlas Entertainment's Jason Netter of Kickstart Entertainment has acquired the film rights to the anime series the 1980s and are currently looking for a screenwriter, before touring the studios. I remember that President Fox Studios Sentinals says that when he was in X-2: X-Men and X-Men 3: The Last Stand and Fantastic Four Galactus in 2: The Rise of Silver Surfer – Never allow any film giant robots is their study. But with the insane success Transformers franchise, attitudes seem to change and should be taken by a studio soon.

Neon Genesis Evangelion – The IMDB lists this film as a Neon Genesis Evangelion project title with a release date of 2012 (the year of the apocalypse.) There were talks and the concept of art live action Neon Genesis Evangelion floating around the Internet for years, and this film is always pushed forward, however, there is a script, and again as the Voltron movie, ADV director Matt Greenfield said the delay is mainly project the movie Transformers: The study wanted to make sure that the robot "Giant" movie would appeal to American readers. Negotiations between Hollywood studios and are processed by Gainax Joseph Cho, who helped produce "Appleseed: Ex Machina", a film Animated series based on Appleseed, if Mr. Cho had prior experience in the management studio. It also reports that the film will to cost over 100 to 120 million dollars to make, including Fortune magazine reported ADV Films has raised half. There has been no official announcement in a year whether, and the current state of the film is unknown, after the sudden collapse and sale of assets AD Vision September 1, 2009.

Gatchaman: version in 2011 and CGI animated film created by Imagi Animation Studios (the company that had TMNT) in association with Tatsunoko Productions and Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie is rated PG-13 and a budget of $ 110,000,000. Here is a trailer of the film was recorded at Anime Expo '09.

Gigantor (T-28): Hikari and Imagi Productions released a teaser for it, but said the additional production of T-28 will depend on the success of the World Child Astro range, as this article is limited to return $ 21,159,327 of its budget from $ 65 million.

Dragonball 2: Reborn: Despite the absence of positive feedback, fans hate it, and that French participation in the funeral of Goku here also reported on 60 million worldwide, not including DVD sales (the film cost only 20 million marks.) A script has been written, but it is unclear whether RBA will a sequel or a remake. But I guess there will be another train wreck.

Thundercats: Thundercats is an American comic book produced by a Japanese study in the United States. However, to see when I was a kid, and is one of my favorites that I see what I could find on it. Unfortunately, CGI movie that was supposed to be an original story, which expanded on the elements of first episode, has been shelved, probably due to the failure of Speed Racer …
