With its ancient traditions and unique culture, Japan has many festivals and ceremonies refined and beautiful. Many of these make the change of seasons and natural phenomena such as cherry blossoms. Others focus on the family as the number of days devoted to children.

Setsubun is Actually the day before a new beginning of the season, but now only refers to the spring and is celebrated on 03 February.

Setsubun has the status of Eve New Year with the full range of cleaning the year associated with this event. The ritual is known as Setsubun mamemaki which means that the distribution of beans. Completed by the male head of household, mamemaki involved throwing roasted soybeans door singing the words to the effect of "demons, the opportunity."

Setsubun is celebrated in Buddhist temples and Shinto in Japan. mamemaki celebrations associated priests and special guests and sometimes celebrities and sumo wrestlers will make a look.

One of the most beautiful and uniquely Japanese of festivals is to Hanami, held in the spring. Viewing Hanami means "flower" Japanese and flowers in question are cherry blossoms (sakura) which bloom all over Japan from late March to early May for Hanami, the Japanese gather in parks to eat, drink and have fun while contemplating the ephemeral beauty of the cherry blossoms that fall like snow soft and pink.

The flowers are also watched night at an event called yozakura (night sakura). Paper lanterns are hung in many parks which add to the beauty and atmosphere of the festival.

Also in April, the flower festival held at Shinto shrines and the Japanese like to see the flowers go to picnics and parties. It is also a time to participate in other Japanese traditions as folk songs and dances, ceremonies, flower arrangements and flower parades and display.

Another important Japanese holiday Kodomo-no-i, which marks the day of child. Held on 5, Kodomo-no-i is more precisely Boy's Day. Also known as the Iris Festival for the practice of placing iris leaves in the bathing the child. With sword-shaped leaves, these leaves are believed to give courage child.

To Kodomo-no-i, each family has a son flies giant banners in the form of a tent in the garden symbol of success. These banners are known as Koinobori and can be enormous. Meanwhile, at home, the family of dolls called screens Musha Warrior ningyo. Traditional dishes Kodomo-no-i is kashiwamochi. These are rice cakes filled with bean paste and covered with oak leaves.
