How can I remove a threaded sprinkler riser broken at the PVC pipe?
I had a riser break right at the PVC hole – there’s no grip to unscrew the riser from above the PVC. The riser is soft plastic. Any idea how to unscrew from inside without having to cut the PVC? I’m trying to avoid having to redo any PVC.
I’ve repaired PVC many times. I don’t want to waste my time digging in an ackward place if I can help it.
I have had this same thing happen many times. I use a wrench like a stub wrench or nipple extractor. I got mine at http://www.sprinkler.com . It’s definitely the easiest tool to use for a job like that.
