If the grocery stores start charging for the bags?
I think most people have groceries treasures under your sink or above your refrigerator or go in the trash or recycling every week. I think that if the stores charge for them, people recycle their bags. Do not know how to make shopping bags, but I imagine it would be the cost savings by reducing the number of bags they purchase.
They are in charge of the bags. It is part of the overhead nailed on the price items. This is America. Most people do not care about plastic waste. Some communities do not collect the bags used for recycling (in fact, our Kroger local container for the bags you enter in the shop). I have been told by some store managers that there can be problems with people carrying bags and robbery attempt. We would save more oil (used to make plastics and fuel) if people did more to stop once a week or almost). A small bag is a point na real waste.
