How I can get Windows Explorer to identify removable storage device?
I use a lot of mass devices USB storage. I have three USB hard drives, and a dozen "thumb drives". When I connect to any unit of a drive letter other new appear in Windows Explorer. Ok, fine. But when I connect my USB hard disk volume label ("MyBig FatDisk" or others) will be displayed next to the drive letter. Also discs drives always seem to have the same drive letter. But my Lexar USB drives appear different drive letters all the time. The volume name does not appear next to the reader label. Readers work exactly the same, but I click on it to see a witch witch, if more than one plugged Is it because the HDD comes with drivers CD, and the use of USB keys less robust integrated into the Windows driver? I have Windows 2000 Pro My employer requires.
