How to send a gift to the poor in another country?
i was wondering how i could fill up a plastic container or a box up with some gifts such as small toys,a toothbrush and toothpaste,soap and shampoo maybe some sandals or small shoes and some socks..please tell me i really want to make a difference in the world.
Shipping overseas cost me about $100 a box, which was about 24 ” square. The stuff inside wasn’t worth that much, as it turns out. I would recommend that you donate at to a reputable charity in the country that you are interested in.
And contrary to what one said, we have NO ONE in the USA who needs to be starving to death, and some other places do have exactly that. I didn’t say people weren’t starving here, but that is because of drugs, alcohol and mental illness; and more money isn’t the answer to those problems.
Many countries have orphanages. Some are excellent and do a good job, as well. That might be a place to start. If you want a suggestion, I’ll privately email you the name and address of one that would appreciate your help and not waste the money.
