Sometimes it starts when you are waiting at the station to begin his shift. Perhaps the intensification in the table on the first or last, begins on the ground. Other can be constant during a tournament from start to finish.
Attend a drawing area for a weekend, a meeting of state for the next re-packaged and then attend another tournament away, I saw many familiar faces. Another thing that is very familiar to the competition, whatever the sport, location or level of competition.
Body language, facial expressions and general comment all reflect the fact that today is the day. Each face is starting. This is serious. All figures and objective results were published in the master scoreboard more later. For many of us, the atmosphere around us becomes electric split second, our tires roll on the grounds of the tournament. We are very pleased to be here or they would not come. However difficult the achievement of our knowledge, patience and a lot of emotions soon will be tested, often produces an upset and spring palpable.
There are many causes of this phenomenon, and the degree of impact that has on the individual varies from person to person. I thought we could discuss some of the causes and perhaps some suggestions for handling these emotions more effectively.
First, I think it is important to recognize that the conditions of this tournament can have an impact on us. If we acknowledge, openly, which in itself begins to dismantle build tension within us. You are not alone with these feelings and thoughts. More importantly, the impact of tournament pressure need not be disabling.
"I'm glad that no one can hear my heart beating when I enter the box. "Believe me, there are legions of people in sports who share the same experience. But an increase in heart rate when you enter the tournament table is normal, nothing abnormal. Once you start to believe what is normal, which have considerably reduced the incidence concern because it can have on you. Some competitors use these feelings to motivate you. They are wisely a negative turn into a positive experience, using it to their advantage. Whenever the mind not like a casino, the biggest adrenaline rush can be a real performance advantage …….
