Cleaning Character Slippers/House Shoes?

I was wondering if there’s a way to wash/clean character slippers? I’m not talking about plain slippers. I’m talking about the special character ones that have a plush head. I’m thinking about just putting them in the washer by themselves, but I don’t know if that will work.

I sprayed mine with spray and wash, put them inside a pillow case knotted at the top and washed them with a full load. Took them out and reshaped them, as soon as the load was done.
