Finding/making Sergei Dragunov costume? (tekken cosplay)?

As I’m in Aus I haven’t found anything really suitable and I’m not into the cosplay scene so I wouldn’t know where to go. It would be nice to make the costume but I can’t find:
- eagle iron ons for across the chest
- belt (also what are the straps attatched to his belt called? is that for weapons?)

After looking at an image of the character (http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters/dragnov-t6home.jpg), it looks like you could actually make the eagle chest adornments using gold foil spandex (http://spandexworld.com/c3/catalog/product/2306), or if you prefer a less metallic look to the eagles, use regular spandex (http://spandexworld.com/c3/catalog/product/2597). Your local fabric store should carry this material. If not, you can easily find it online. Simply cut out the eagle shapes and either glue or sew the pieces onto the shirt.

You can also use a strip of spandex around the top of the boots. Since you don’t want to attach the strips permanently to your boots, use double-sided removable adhesive tape (http://www.officesupplysanity.com/home/oss/page_107817/667_double_sided_removable_office_tape__dispenser_.html). I suggest you test the tape first to make sure that it won’t damage your boots when you remove the adhesive. Any office supply store should stock this kind of tape.

The belt doesn’t look too unusual. You should be able to find something very similar in your local WalMart. (Are there WalMarts in Australia?) Well, any inexpensive clothing store or secondhand shop ought to have a belt like the one in the image. If you can’t find the correct color, simply paint it. As for the square gold decorative belt buckle, you can probably find something very similar on ebay.

The straps on the belt are called sword hangers. The hooks or loops at the bottom of the straps would clip onto the metal rings of the scabbard. Perhaps you could find the hangers in a military surplus store or on ebay:

It’s unlikely you’ll find sword hangers that match the ones in the image, so you might consider making them. Try a hardward store for the metal clips and cut a thin belt into the appropriate length pieces to make the straps.
