I am currently running a mile which would be 4:52 one mile competitive times, and the average time for a freshman in college

In Division three of them in rapid heating, you should be around 4:20 or so. For Divisions one and two, the better it is 4:10 or less. mean time to first for a year by the D3 would be about 4:25. Hope that helps.
