Thanks to those of you who have responded to my question about the breed standard?

I have another question. when they are like dogs I see on TV and make the final group and judge between the toy group, the Working Group, the Terrier group, livestock, etc. How do the judges look what is supposed to be the winner of these groups? Is the preference of the judges of the type of dog? I mean usually when I see these broadcasts, the toy poodle gains, hehe. How can they judge the toy poodle against a German shepherd, etc to get better at stake? Thank you.

They supposed to judge based on the dog is closer to the breed standard. Once in the level of competition, smart dogs (ie, poodles and burrows) do better, simply because are catchy and the attitude to have. (A Berner, for example, should never have an attitude of UP … the dog would be atypical and the installation of the breed standard .. but the attitude that takes second place compared to say a boxer is much more striking.) For what it's worth … trick people train their dogs to show a some extent.
