What is the best method to convert old VHS tapes to DVD?

Seeking the best way to turn my old VHS tapes to DVD. I am open all options, like DVD recorders or software. I'm not just use it for home movies. I have to be able to bring Disney movies on DVD for my daughter ect. Please only respond if you have a method or product you have used successfully. Thanks!

I had my VHS tapes converted by a transfer service video called StashSpace.Com and was easy to vary. They have been running a special where conversion was free, paid for the DVD. I do not know if you can convert your videos for Disney, because the laws of copyright (you may only want to go directly to a DVD of Disney).
