How do u fix the gap left in hallway & thresholds when we put thinner vinyl tile than the 20 yr old carpets?
When we put down tile in our hallway there was a HUGE gap left where the carpet met the baseboard trim. Now we have to figure out how to fix it – we are replacing our entire floor with some vinyl tile & wood flooring. Need advice or answers. Help! TY, Julie
That works for the hallway but what about around the doors – the trim is decorative with lots of corners and rounds?
You will need to add a piece of 1/4 round molding to all of your baseboards to cover the gap. The only other option is to remove and replace the baseboards.
